SKStrings will design a banjo for you based on general themes provided by you. Here are some examples of past work to exercise you imagination.
Art deco is the theme and it is embodied in the image of the 1930's blues singer Josephine Baker demonstrating her scandalous "Banana Dance" on the head while butterflies chase stars up the neck. The instrument is made from claro walnut with an accent of maple and purpleheart.
(More on the life of Josephine Baker here)
Celtic runic designs adorn the head of the elegant instrument. It is made from claro walnut accented with maple.
The gold and brass hardware gives the instrument a rich, warm feel.

A banjo with a southern flavor. A track of dog footprints travel up the neck to Charlotte's head in wood marquetry.
The body is made of Tiger Maple with a lamination of Wenge and Mahogany. The field of the head and fretboard are made from Katalox (a South American species similar to rosewood).
